The gentle, hilly countryside lends itself to being discovered on hikes or cycling tours; many communities in the region offer Nordic walking routes for different abilities.
The Rosalia region is located on the eastern slope of the Rosalia mountains, a few kilometres away from the provincial capital Eisenstadt and Lake Neusiedl. The area, large stretches of which are nature sanctuaries, is largely agricultural, which accounts for its natural appeal and the slow pace of life.
